Home of Milan's Bonsai
In Auckland’s climate, all our bonsais are outdoor trees. Position somewhere where they get half a day’s sun.
As the pots are small, watering is important.
A good way to ensure water is distributed throughout the pot, is to submerge the whole pot in a basin or tub, up to the top and covering the whole pot. The air bubbles in the soil will bubble up and when it stops, take the bonsai out of the water and let the excess water drain away.
We recommend you do this once a week, and if the weather is particularly hot and windy, water lightly with your hose or can.
